Top 5 Tips for selecting your Wedding DJ

Continuing our series of helpful information to plan your very special wedding day, here is some expert advice in the form of 5 top tips......

1: Do your background research:
BEFORE you contact a DJ and ask “how much do you charge?”, have a good look through their website or social media page.
Here you will find videos, photo's and information of the different services they offer.
It may also prompt you to think of ideas that hadn’t occurred to you before.

2: Book in plenty of time:
The best DJs get booked up months, sometimes years in advance.

3: Meet your DJ:
Meet your DJ before you book or at least have a good chat to make sure you find someone who understands your vision and someone experienced in weddings you can bounce ideas off.

4: Equipment:
Make sure the DJ will be using top quality equipment and lighting. Sound and lighting do play a key factor in making your wedding a success.

5: Listen to the DJ’s advice:
Your chosen DJ should have experience of working a room and keeping guests of all ages happy.

Some DJs will ask you for 10 or so songs that you love, to get an idea for what you like then build from this. If there are any songs you absolutely do not want to be played at your wedding, make this clear.
